Yarra Valley Grammar is proud to announce that construction has commenced on our new state of the art four-storey Performing Arts and Media Centre, with pre-works well underway.
The new facility connects with the existing George Wood Performing Arts Centre and features:
- A blackbox performance space and media production studio (Basement)
- GWPAC foyer and amenities, outdoor landscaped area and junior library (Ground Floor)
- Music rehearsal studio, instrumental spaces, drama and media classrooms (Level 1)
- Multi-use classrooms and outdoor terrace (Level 2)
The facility is a landmark building project for Yarra Valley Grammar, providing engaging learning and performances spaces, offering new opportunities for students and the community to excel in the performing arts and media.

We are committed to maintaining a high quality experience for audiences and hirers throughout construction works. Upon your next visit to GWPAC, you may notice some changes to how we operate:
- General construction noise
- Closure of main foyer entrance, including a reduction in toilet facilities throughout works – all visitors and performers to enter via north foyer
- Foundation Drive has been permanently closed alongside the main carpark
- Cranes and piling rigs operating around GWPAC

Transforming the visitor experience
As well as major developments to educational facilities, the project provides significant upgrades to the visitor experience. The expanded centre offers new front of house amenities and technology and improvements to venue accessibility, including new stairs and lift so that patrons can move easily across levels. The expansive entrance space will provide visitors and the School community with a greatly enhanced experience.
